Holiday Decorating Contest

In 2008, the Nutley Junior Women's Club presented the 3rd Annual Nutley Holiday House & Business Decorating Contest, in which we invited home and business owners to register and compete in various decorating categories.

The Nutley Juniors have done a fantastic job the entire Christmas season. We kicked off the holiday season with a gingerbread house decorating party before Santa's arrival at the Nutley Oval in November. We also used this opportunity to spread the word regarding the Mayor's Adopt a Family Program. Under the leadership of Barbara Martin (past President), the Nutley Juniors have fostered a relationship with the Apostle House in Newark. This year, the Juniors donated toys and clothes for 42 children living at the Apostle House. The Holiday House & Business Decorating Contest allows the Juniors to make donations to the Adopt a Family program.

Honorable mentions, which could possibly take the awards next year, include homes located at 22 Ideal Court, 198 Lakeside Drive, 20 Oakcrest, 16 Cottage Place and Andrew Garruto, Attorney at Law at 609 Franklin Avenue.
